'THE GRAYSONS' NO MORE! | | The new CW drama based on DC Comics' Boy Wonder gets the ax | | | By Steve Sunu | | Posted 11/10/2008 | |  | |  |  Bad news for Dick Grayson fans—Warner Bros. Pictures has decided to yank the announced CW drama about the Boy Wonder, entitled "The Graysons," from development.
This will no doubt leave a superhero shaped void in the CW's programming line-up as their hit show "Smallville" will be off the air after the current season.
According to Warner Bros., the concept of "The Graysons"—a pre-costumed, and potentially trapeze-based Dick Grayson—did not fit with the direction of the Batman franchise and they are currently working on a replacement for the CW.
"The Graysons" would have been the fourth CW show based on DC continuity, following the failed "Aquaman" pilot, the short-lived "Birds of Prey," and the ongoing "Smallville."
