[GOING SOLO] 'SHE-HULK' #32

Wizard's weekly round-up of Marvel's mightiest who don't necessarily need a super-team to stand shoulder to shoulder with.

This week: The Secret Invasion is upon us, and She-Hulk isn't going to let those Skrulls give green-skins a bad name. Plus, Kl'rt, you ARE the Father!

What's what:

Last we left GBFFs Jen and Jaz, they had to tussle with X-Factor in Motown, after they secured their bounty, Nogor, the "Talisman" of the Skrull race, and harbinger of the coming "secret" invasion. However, the "Talisman" could also be the key to nipping said invasion in the crinkly-chinned bud.

Present Predicaments:
Jen and Jazinda discuss what to do with their collar, Nogor, currently hog-tied in the living room of their RV. If he can't stop the invasion, then Jen considers him useless, and therefore expendable. However, Jazinda warns that the retaliation of the Skrull race following the murder of their Talisman would turn this invasion into a genocide.

They do hatch a plan to use Jazinda's Skrull ship to contact the Skrull empire and issue an ultimatum, using the Talisman as collateral.

While in the middle of their heart-to-heart, Jazinda catches glimpse of a Skrull ship, a Detainee Transport Vehicle, used to "herd" the problem humans and bring them in for processing, which in Skrull-terms, I'm sure translates to "heavy probing". Shulkie, not content with letting this civilian-filled vessel float away, up-roots a tree-friend, and sends it hurtling toward the ship.

There goes that "Sierra Club" endorsement.

She begins to come to terms with the fact that even though Cap was shuffled loose from this mortal coil, she remained, and remained with purpose: to stomp Skrull mud-holes. Jen reaches the ships wreckage, dispatches the Skrull crew, and rescues the human prisoners. She gives the civilians words of advice and encouragement, "only you can prevent forest fires", so on and so forth. Jaz hotwires the Skrull ship, and transports Jen on-board, only after her clothing. Woot! Green boo-tay!

An exciting day for the young boys in that crowd: Captured by Skrulls, rescued by She-Hulk, and the on-set of puberty.

As Jen puts her undergarments back on, Nogor gets into Jazinda's ear. He speaks of bouncing her on his knee as she was just a wee crinkle-chin, and how her father, O-G Super Skrull Kl'rt, had such high hopes for her. And surprise, surprise, guess which Skrull received the order to dispatch young Jazinda? None other than Daddy-Dearest.

I implore you to read that bubble in the Schwarzeneggar voice.

Jen comes barreling out of the ladies room, and takes Kl'rt right out the front windshield of the D.T.V., resulting in a mid-air battle with what seems to be a flaming, partially-invisible hunk of Skrull rock-taffy.

"Folks, if you look out to the right side of the cabin, you'll see a large green woman battling to the death with some sort of shape shifting, flaming rock-creature. Flight attendants, please prepare for drink service."

In the melee, Nogor's binds are loosened, and he destroys the ships' controls with a blast intended for Jazinda. Nogor then attempts to take Jazinda's "resurrection power" (!?) for himself as the ship plummets into Earth's blue waters.
