THE STORY SO FAR...
•Sinestro establishes his own Corps and goes to war with the Green Lantern Corps.
•During the war, the Guardians of the Universe begin rewriting the book of Oa and put in the first of 10 new laws, the first of which enables the Green Lanterns to use lethal force.
•Laira kills Amon Sur for killing slain Green Lantern Ke'Haan's family even though Amon Sur had given himself up.
•The Guardians implement a new group within the Green Lantern Corps creating the Alpha Lanterns.
•Alpha Lantern Boodikka is sent by the Guardians to her home sector of 1414 to discover why the newly inducted Green Lantern of that sector has not yet reported to OA yet.
•Boodikka is attack by the group, The Bellatrix Bombers. A group she was once a member of. Also, Boodikka discovers her sister Zale has been chosen as the other Green Lantern of sector 1414.
•Boodikka and her sister become partners of sector 1414.
•Graf Toren and Tomar Tu discover the destroyed ship of Hanuu and he explains that a red ring has taken Laira.
•Mongul has taken possession of a yellow power ring.
•A group of Green Lanterns are sent to the Vega System to retrieve Yellow power rings that were detected in the sector
•Mongul overtakes Arisia and Sodam Yat and puts Mercy flowers on them.
•The Lanterns meet Mother Mercy
•The Lanterns learn of Mother Mercy's history
•The Lanterns get into a fight with Mongul
•Mother Mercy became a Green Lantern
•Green Lantern Bzzd is kiled in the fight with Mongul
•Mongul is digested by the Mother Mercy planet
THIS WEEK
GREEN LANTERN CORPS #27

•On the planet OA, we see Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner preparing for a big event. The opening of Warriors on OA. Guy goes over the things that need to be done from giving a pep talk to the chefs, to showing the, showing the bartenders the correct way of pouring a beer and making sure the waiters are fam iliar with the menu. When Guy feels that everything is in order, he says the release the hounds as Warriors is open for business.
•In the Crypt of the Green Lanterns, Green Lantern Morro, the cryptkeeper of the Lanterns prepare Bzzd to become one with the other honored deceased Green Lanterns who have fallen in the line of duty. Morro encast Bzzd in a emerald casing. He then places the cocoon in an emerald flame and then breaks the cocoon leaving Bzzd an emerald spirt to join the other honored Green Lanterns.
•Suddenly, Morro hears a disturbance, and looks to his dragon pets and they see a Green Lantern in the midsts of the other dead Green Lanterns. Morrow, who is outraged by the disturbance attacks the Lantern who is able to deflect it. We find out that the Lantern's name is Saarek and that he was invited to the crypt. When Morrow asks by who, Saarek said that the dead Lanterns did. Morrow asks what Saarek is talking about and responds by saying that he speaks to the dead and in turn they speak to him. When Morrow asks Saarek what the dead say, he is shocked to learn that they told Saarek that they are cold; and with each and passing day they grow colder. They also said that the Lanterns are afraid of what is to come. As Saarek leaves, he tells Morrow that his brother Marrg sends his love and they he prays for him in the gathering darkness.
•Back on OA, Guy and Kyle are happy about the first night of Warriors. They seemed to do very well with the American food having sold well when it was cooked right. Kyle asks when they can get a full-time manager to run things and Guy responds telling him when they can find someone who they can trust. They talk more about the food and Guy makes a suggestion about bringing someone in from Earth to run the kitchen so things like Macaroni and Cheese looks like it's supposed to. Bringing up Macaroni and Cheese, Kyle wonders if the Mercy Planet has fully digested Mongul by now. Guy make a comment that the planet probably got big time gas from Mongul and he wouldn't want to be in that sector when it happens.
•Speaking of Mongul. At the Mother Mercy Planet, we see Mongul fighting and ripping his way out of the clutches of the Planet's grasp and soon is free and flies away towards who knows where.
•Back on OA, Guy and Kyle are continuing the conversation when Guys' ring gives him a countdown of fourteen days before his Big Apple Excursion. Kyle presses Guy as to what that reminder was for and Guy eventually tells Kyle that it's a reminder that he's got a date to keep. Kyle puts two and two together and realizes that it's Ice. Guy says that he and Ice agreed that they needed some time and distance from each other and so, now Guy is going to back to Earth and he told Salaak that he needed the time off and then Guy asks Kyle to look out over the bar which Kyle happily agrees to. The two of them toast to the first night of the bar and then Kyle needs to go home and sleep before training begins. Guy gives Kyle a Warrior's hat, telling him that he always needs to be marketing and then Kyle goes home to sleep. Guy goes to clean up and he sees a pice of paper that has a sketch of a Green Lantern being ripped in half.
•On the planet Citcratana, we see a pet being blasted into nothing. There is a family20looking on as their attacker asks if a family member is a Green Lantern and they respond yes. Then the unseen attacker wonders if they will die as proudly as their family member serves.
•Back on OA, Kyle and Kilowog are in the middle of training the rookies. Kyle and Kilowog are teaching the noobs about how important the combination of willpower, focus and overcoming your fears is the key keeping your power up. The rookies are told that if you lose even one of those factors, they will find themselves on the floor every time. Then we see Sorak Natu arrive. It looks as though Kyle and Natu are flirting a bit. The rookies are watching them for a bit until Kilowog reads them the riot act.
•Kyle says he feels some rain, but Natu says it doesn't feel like rain. She looks in her hand and sees an eye. The Lanterns look up to see a slew of eyes raining on them. The Lanterns put up shields as the eyes fall on them. The Lanterns looks at the eyes and they are wondering who could have done something so horrible while Kilowog is trying to keep the rookies calm. Natu does a scan to see if she can identify the person who's eye she had in her hand belonged to. The ring determined that the eye belonged to Zonna Parzzx, the mother of Lantern rookie Zevonn Parzzx, who is shocked and grief stricken over the fact. Kyle asks his ring about the other eyes and the ring responds that the remaining eyes are of Lantern and other origins.
•Kilowog is helping the rookies with their grief, especially Zevonn Parzzx who has discovered his family is dead. Sorak, Kyle and Kilowog are outraged that someone would do this when Saarek comes towards the three of them and explains that the dead can help them and if they allow him to, he could generate an image from the eye of the victims to show them the killer. When Kyle says to do it, we get an image of someone that Kyle states that he just got their full and undivided attention. Stay tuned.
