RELEASE INFO AND CAST REVEALED FOR 'WONDER WOMAN' | | The cartoon, not the live-action one! | | | By Josh Wigler | | Posted 7/2/2008 | |  | |  Is this "Wonder Woman," or is it "Waitress 2: Pies of the Amazons?" It's a reunion years (ok, one year) in the making as Keri Russell ("Waitress") and Nathan Fillion (also "Waitress," "Serenity") re-team for DC's latest direct-to-DVD animated flick, "Wonder Woman." We're a little bummed that Scott Speedman and Scott Foley aren't on the cast list, but we'll take what we can get. (Hey, we may never get another chance to do a "Felicity" shout-out, so cut us some slack here!)
The film is currently set for a spring 2009 release and is rated "PG-13," which should mean some awesome Amazon swordwork hewing heads from shoulders! Did we say awesome? We did?! Good!
Also joining Russell and Fillion are comics-turned-film veterans Alfred Molina ("Spider-Man 2") as Ares and Rosario Dawson ("Sin City") as Artemis. Virgina Madsen ("Sideways") also joins the cast as Hippolyta.
