BEFORE WATCHMEN
One interesting item to keep an eye on these days is DC Spotlight #1, a 1985 free giveaway showcasing upcoming DC projects and stories. The promo contains an essay by Alan Moore on the upcoming Watchmen series as well as a piece of art by Dave Gibbons that has never been reprinted since. Currently the issue is valued at $50.

BEFORE HELLBOY
Another interesting item to watch out for would be Dime Press #4. Originally released in Italy as a fanzine in 1993 with an estimated print run of 2000 copies, this issue features a prototype of Hellboy by creator Mike Mignola. The issue predates Hellboy's other pre-first appearance in San Diego Con Comics #2 and Next Men #21. The issue has been selling for around $200.

Son of Hulk
Skaar: Son of Hulk, by Greg Pak dropped last week, picking up many threads from his previously acclaimed "Planet Hulk" story line.

"[Son of Hulk] is just the next in long line of Hulk books that are selling dare I say it... incredibly," says Geoff Patterson of Geoffrey's Comics in Gardena, CA.

"We ordered equal number to Hulk and we sold out by Wednesday at noon," says Doug Simpson of Paradise Comics in Toronto, ON.

BEST BETS
First Born Aftermath One-Shot (Top Cow, $3.99) All star artist Ryan Sook lends his talents to this one shot from Top Cow following up on their First Born event. This is Sook's first interior art since X-Factor.

Wolverine [Vol. 3] #66 (Marvel, $2.99) Civil War partners Mark Millar and Steve McNiven jump on the Canucklehead for "Old Man Logan." It's part of Millar's company wide crossover too, so don't miss out!
