SPIDER-MAN MUSICAL A DEFINITE FOR BROADWAY

Show (scored by Bono & The Edge) only waiting on theater to house it
By Rachel Molino

"The show is done," said Marvel exec Peter Cuneo Thursday in New York. The Spider-Man musical, directed by Julie Taymor (director of the Tony-winning "Lion King") and scored by U2's Bono and The Edge, can open as soon as "late 09… or 2010" according to Cuneo, but it all depends on finding a theater. "It's a challenge to find a theater on Broadway right now. These things are all scheduled, as you might imagine, well in advance. So the timing is more related to getting a theater than it is to the progress of the show." Set to play the lead roles of Peter Parker and Mary Jane are Jim Sturgess and Evan Rachel Wood, the very same stars of Julie Taymor's "Across the Universe".
