BIG CITY COMICS ENDS 'THE ANT: UNLEASHED'

May 14th 2008 – Orlando, Florida - With a heavy heart BIG CITY COMICS says good bye to MARIO GULLY'S ANT UNLEASHED MINI - SERIES.

For all of the readers and fans excited and eagerly awaiting Mario Gully's Mini-Series Ant: Unleashed Issues 4 through 6. BIG CITY COMICS is sorry to announce that at this time we will no longer be continuing the Popular Ant Series by Mario Gully.

BIG CITY COMICS reason for the decision is based on a couple of factors. One factor is that Mario has had the privileged of working on some amazing things at MARVEL. We understand the need for him like many other artists in the field to further their talents in this great industry of ours. Therefore he wanted to pursuer his obligations therein.

Another factor was different artistic and creative directions wanting to be taken with the title by Mario and we respect the creator's choice. Thus we are honoring the creative control of Mario wishes in making this decision.

We appreciate the time; effort and dedication that was put into the title by all creative teams involved and thank them for giving it their best.

We here at Big City Comics are deeply saddened to see Mario go, we have enjoyed working with him. As well as the bond we have made with him on a personal level. The one issue that is ever present in the comic industry is change. Even though the series has to say goodbye we are sure that you not be seeing the last of Hannah Washington as the Crimson Insect Super Heroine known as Ant.

When we do, we here at BIG CITY COMICS hopes to be a part of it when it happens. If not we wish Mario all the success in the world. We were happy to have him in the BIG CITY even for a little while he will always have a place here.

On behalf of Big City Comics and Mario Gully we wish our deepest apologies to all the Retailers, Fans, & Supporters that will be impacted by this and hope that they will continue to support Big City Comics in the future.
