Recently in Young X-Men: After disbanding the X-Men, Cyclops recruited a new team, made up of the last generation of mutants. He extended invitations to Wolf Cub, Dust, Blindfold, Rockslide and—previously undiscovered mutant—Eric Gitter. He gathered them in the ruins of the Xavier Institute and charged them with hunting the new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, whose members consist of Cannonball, Magma, Sunspot and Dani Moonstar—the former New Mutants.

What happened:
• Three weeks after their first gathering, the Young X-Men are attacking a house in which reside their targets, the former New Mutants. The mission fails and they are defeated.

• It's revealed to be a Danger Room session when Cyclops ends the program. The team's biggest problem is that they work alone.

• Rockslide questions Cyclops the team's target of killing Sunspot and his friends. Scott says that everything changed since M-Day and the Messiah baby. The former New Mutants became villains and the remaining X-Men now use lethal methods to take care of evil; that is the only way of survival.

• Dust and Blindfold talk about that latter's vision of someone dying because there is a traitor in the team. Unknown to them, Wolf Cub is hiding in the shadows and listens to the conversation.

• The day after: for the team's first mission Cyclops sends Blindfold and Ink after Dani Moonstar and the others after Magma. A mysterious figure watched from above at the mission briefing.

• Ink and Blindfold breaks into Dani's cabin in the woods of Colorado. Despite her lack of mutant powers, she uses a shotgun against them.

• Rockslide, Dust and Wolf Cub follows Magma jogging in the streets of Los Angeles. They attempt to catch her with their jet, but she notices them and leverages the street, forcing the jet to crash. The triplet takes on Magma, but she is ready to fight—even to kill them.

• Dani captures Blindfold and threatens to shoot her. She wants answers from Ink, but Blindfold is able to break free and knock her unconscious.

• Ink tries to understand Blindfold's ability to see the future. He says that if her powers worked fine she would've seen this coming—and hits her with the gun.

Black sheep?

Blindfold tells Dust that one of their teammates will betray them soon, according to her vision. Using the term "wolf in the fold," could it relate to that wolf kid eavesdropping them?

Team chemistry

The team of Ink and Blindfold seems like a match gone wrong at first glance, but you know that all great loves started this way. "Moonlighting" got nothing on these two.

L.A. Heat

When the Gold Team's plan falls apart, they face the heat—double entendre—of Magma. They messed with the wrong blonde.

Definitely black sheep

Guess we found the "wolf in the fold." Too bad it killed any possibility for romance between these two.
