[NYTF] INDIE SPOTLIGHT

Sixteen Shockinis, some super-articulated super-types and a massive Maxx figure are in Socker Toys' Spotlight

[NYTF] INDIE SPOTLIGHTFans who have lamented the long development time on Shocker Toys’ Indie Spotlight line will be happy to know that they were worth the wait. Not only do the figures have all-new paint jobs, they’ve got completely new articulation that guarantees great playability on such heroes as Shadowhawk, Kabuki, Scud, Katchoo and the Maxx.

The Maxx, who’s twice as large as the other characters, will be a build-a-figure, but not in the traditional sense. Instead of making you buy every figure in the wave, you just need to buy two halves of the Maxx and put him together. He’s twice as expensive as the other figures in the wave, but he’s definitely worth it. And every figure will come with a different Isz from the “Maxx” comic and cartoon, so you can collect them all.

And once that line comes out this summer, you can start looking forward to the second series, which will include Dick Tracy, Jack the Lantern, Zombie King, Ignacia and, as a build-a-figure, the Tick! Hopefully, these will get to us much faster.

Shocker Toys’ Shockinis are going through some changes, as well. First, they’re getting smaller, so look for them to come in at 2 inches or so. The first series of two-packs, Solar/Kabuki, Scud/Shadowhawk, Dick Tracy/Madman and Katchoo/Maxx, will come out this summer, followed by a second series: Zombie King/Jack Staff, Lone Ranger/Wraith, Tick/Ignacia and Fist of Justice/Jack the Lantern.
