NECA has something for everyone in '08

[NYTF] NECANECA told us today that they’ve recently acquired the rights to create Bob Marley figures to add to their Music line. Look for a figure before the end of the year, but if you can’t wait to rock out with your toys, then check out a punk-tastic Joey Ramone figure around April.

Video Game fans should be on the look out for head exploding variants of some of your favorite “Gears of War” Characters. Release details on when and where those will be available haven’t been hammered out yet.

Movie fans also have a lot to look forward to since NECA’s putting out replicas of Sweeny Todd’s razorblades as well as a music box that opens up to reveal the infamous barber chair of death. They also have a wall-mounted replica of Cherry’s gun leg from “Grindhouse.”

For martial arts fans, NECA’s offering a line of figures based on Shaw Brothers films. The first line will include Hai Tao, Yank #6 and Liy Yu-Te and promise to have 42 points of articulation.

Lastly, but definitely not leastly, NECA announced plans to release a New York Comic Con exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles box set that will include the four turtles along with all of the accessories that come with the individually packaged figures. They also have plans to release April and a Foot Soldier in the next line and produce a line of black and white painted toys harkening back to the Turtle’s indie comic roots.
